Painter in Vallejo, CA
Interior rooms and exterior siding painted with real prep and sharp edges.
Good paint work is mostly preparation. The patching, sanding, caulking and priming happen before the first stroke of color, and they are what separate a finish that lasts from one that peels in a year. E&MC Remodeling paints interiors and exteriors with that order of operations, whether the job is a single accent wall or the whole house.
Inside, we paint walls, ceilings, trim and doors, and we are comfortable with bold choices such as a deep blue niche or a dark charcoal hallway when that is what you want. Outside, the work is about protecting the building. Salt air, summer sun and winter rain all wear on siding and trim around the bay, so surface prep and the right primer matter more than the brand on the can.
Because we are also remodelers, painting often follows other work. New drywall, new trim or new siding all end with paint, and we can finish what we start instead of handing your project to someone who did not see how it was built.
What you can expect from our painting
Prep that is not skipped
Patches are sanded flush, gaps are caulked and bare spots are primed so the color goes on once and looks even.
Protection for your home
We mask floors, fixtures and trim carefully, and we keep the work area tidy at the end of every day.
Painting that connects to other trades
When a room needs drywall, trim or siding work first, the same team does it, so the paint covers finished surfaces.
Painter questions
Do you paint interiors and exteriors?
Yes. Interior painting and exterior painting each have their own page on this site because the preparation, materials and weather considerations are different.
How should I choose a paint color?
Look at the color on the actual wall at different times of day, and test a patch before committing. Warm lighting and bay-area daylight can change how a gray or blue reads.
Can you paint over wallpaper or dark colors?
Usually yes, with the right prep and primer. Dark walls and old wallpaper need extra coats and sometimes a skim of smoothing compound, which we explain in the quote.
Do you handle drywall patches before painting?
Yes. Small patches and larger drywall repairs are part of getting a wall ready, and drywall repair has its own page.
